About the Position

The Technology and Maintenance Department (TVA) is the technical office of the Air Force responsible for continued airworthiness, maintenance production, modification activities, and common technical issues for all aviation material systems in the Air Force. Part of TVA is located in Såtenäs, where we organize 2.TVS. We are now looking for several Airworthiness Engineers (LVI) for the JAS39 aircraft. This includes roles for weapon external load/qualified air munitions and MG92 GSE (Maintenance Equipment Operation). As LVI, you will work under the Chief/Maintenance Leader (VMHL) and be supervised by the Technical Chief for the Material System (TCM) JAS39. The position means that you will bring forward, for the units and the Armed Forces, common issues to the relevant authorities within FMV and industry, that is, work for unit adaptation and operational usability of the JAS39 aircraft. You will propose measures by acting as technical and tactical decision support for the Armed Forces and FMV, primarily against the Gripen aviation material system.

Main Responsibilities

• Represents TCM regarding its tasks related to continued airworthiness
• Acts as the link between FMV and FM CAMO regarding technical system support and deviation management
• Provides technical support to actors in aviation maintenance and participates in development, problem-solving, and material status within the material system
• Monitors airworthiness within the aviation material system
• Provides technical support to KFA, TCM, CSI, SI, units, FMV, and industry
• Conducts technical investigations and reports
• Prepares the establishment of publications and deviations, such as Technical Orders, Material Reports, etc.
• Operator-customizes approved data and the referral management of Technical Orders
• Works on maintenance issues and ensures that CAME and cost-effectiveness are considered during the design, implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning of material
• Supports monitoring, analysis, and development of maintenance programs.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Qualified aircraft technician, relevant engineering education, or equivalent work experience deemed comparable by the employer
• Specialist officer SO7, alternatively civilian with competencies deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience in managing continued airworthiness (within CAMO)
• Good knowledge of relevant regulations (RML V-6D/V-6A or EASA Part M/Part 145)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B.

DESIRABLE

• Type course on JAS39 or another aircraft system
• Experience in aviation maintenance or work with continued airworthiness within the Armed Forces
• Experience in working with processes within the Armed Forces' material production, material supply, and maintenance production
• Experience in working with operational follow-up and support systems used within the Armed Forces (Fenix, Prio, LIFT, etc.).

Position: Specialist officer SO7, alternatively civilian.

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.

Start date: By agreement.

Work location: Såtenäs, Luleå, Ronneby, Halmstad, or Linköping.
